Regents Review Plan, read to the very end for supply list

I have spent the weekend thinking & brainstorming about how to best use our time to tackle Regents Review this year, since we know so little about the exam.  I think I have a plan that will use our last weeks together most effectively.  It incorporates content, which I refuse to abandon, as well as the skills you're been practicing all year, which are required to come close to passing this exam.

PROS:
- Maximize our time for the greatest benefits
- Content review necessary for all parts of the exam
- Practice with the new style of multiple choice questions
- Practice with CRQs
- Proactive writing your thesis statement for your EI
- You still get flash cards to take home & study
- The harder you worked this year, the easier review is going to be for you

CONS:
- Review is NOT "reteach" or "relearn," it is "remember."
- If you didn't do your work &/or learn any topic when we did it, you;re n you're own. (To be fair, this is not new because of this exam, this is ALWAYS the way review has been handled.  Start watching YouTube videos if this is you!)
- If you aren't in class, you miss any skills we practice
- There is no going back, there is no make-up work, there are no notes or flash cards posted online
- If you aren't in class, you miss any flash cards we make.  Nothing is posted online.
- The less you worked this year, the harder review is going to be for you

So...here is the plan:
- Flash cards for content in class (see required supplies for class below.)
- Different review cards (my personal content flash cards) will be used only in Friday reviews.
- Practice exams until we run out of time

We start the day after we finish the curriculum (or when I decide we need to start, which ever comes first.)

REQUIRED SUPPLIES (let's say as of April 25th):
300 lined 3x5 index cards (the less you know the more you'll need)
Dividers or Tabs for your index cards
3x5 index card box (fits 300 or more cards)
Standard Blue or black pens - NO GEL PENS WILL BE ALLOWED IN CLASS AS OF 4/29.

Any questions?  See or email me before Break.
