No Excuses. You Are Out of Time.

Regents Review study/flash cards in Quizlet have been opened for over a week.  ONE out of 60 of you did one set.  Some of you never bothered to sign up for the Quizlet class at all this year.  Yet "you" feel entitled to a particular style of review.

I posted your supply notice on April 20th, gave you a May 14th deadline, then gave you an extra week until May 21st, and did not check them until May 23rd.  And yet, "we" are largely still unprepared...but feel entitled to a particular type of review.  Not one of you came to me expressing any kind of difficulty in getting the supplies prior to to the due date.

There is no reason to do flash cards in class when you have thematic sets online.  You aren't using those, so why would I think you would actually study the ones I do in class?

There is a different style of thematic review cards used at Friday Review but you aren't attending that  (which is 3 solid hours of study time), so why would I think you would study flash cards from class on your own?

Let's be clear on this: this is YOUR test to pass.  Only YOU can take the test.  Only YOU can decide to study or not, prepare yourself or not, fail or try to pass.  This is YOUR EFFORT, and yours ALONE.  I cannot - and will not - do it for you.

You have THREE reviews left before your Regents Exam.  SIX classes.  And you're STILL NOT STUDYING.  The only thing I can do at this point is wish you luck.  If you haven't listened to or heard me the last 164 days I don't have high hopes of you doing it with 6 classes to go.

I was going to cancel all remaining reviews, but since there are a few of you who always attend, I will keep them as scheduled.
