Ugly Sweater (or anything else) Day Tomorrow
Ugly Sweater Day is tomorrow...
if you have been on time to class, not absent, & participated every day so far, tomorrow is your last day to grab those free points!
It doesn't have to be an ugly sweater...it can be an ugly/tacky anything - dress, top, pants, etc.
And, of course, you have that test you should be studying for...
Monday, December 17, 2018
Tomorrow is...
Holiday Pajama Day!
Even if you didn't dress today, it's never to late to have holiday spirit!

Because Mr. Ramo is really getting on my nerves...
Turns out Mr. Ramo is a real softee.
He thinks should give you until 8 pm tomorrow to participate.
I have compromised with him.
I'd email by then or you are out of the extra credit 100%, no more extensions.

You MUST email be BEFORE 8 pm tonight (Friday, 12/14), if you want to participate in the extra credit for next week. I am having trouble replying to emails from home but I can read them & will add you to my list if you make the deadline. Some of you seem to have trouble leaving a comment, so emailing will replace that.

It's EXTRA, so (1) optional & (2) deadlines will NOT be extended since it was posted YESTERDAY.
And, be honest with yourself...can your average use an extra 10 points? This s the ONLY way that is going to happen. And it is the ONLY time it will happen THIS ACADEMIC YEAR. So start getting your festive ideas going, read the other post for what to wear which day (& ROTC Updates),
and email me

EXTRA CREDIT - READ ME & COMMENT
What do you say we have a Festive Challenge next week? Winners will (1) likely get themselves in some candid Yearbook pictures (since we are, literally, across the hall from the adviser!) & (2) earn some extra credit.
The Rules (it's me,you know there are going to be rules!!)
1. You have to participate every day - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday. Thursday is not part of the challenge. There is no partial credit. You're all in or you're out!!
ONLY EXCEPTION: ROTC Uniforms on their required day. I will verify mandatory uniform day(s) for next week with ROTC. If you are dressed for ROTC on that day, I will count it as as "festive" day for you since you have no choice.
2. You need to be in class on time, no late passes. You must be present all 4 days, too.
3. You need to be dressed in the theme of the day. If I heard correctly they are:
Monday - Holiday Colors. We'll go with just festive. As long as you are Christmas-y, winter-ish - you're good. Snowman pants that are black & white...those count. Get the idea?
Tuesday - Holiday Pajamas
Wednesday - Dress Up/Formal Wear
Friday - Ugly Sweater (or Ugly shirt, skirt, dress, suit, etc.) Don't have one? Be creative! Attach ornaments to a t-shirt, tape on some garland, etc. It's supposed to be hideous. :)
4. You must wear it ALL DAY. No cheating. I'll find out.
What do you win? Everyone who participates every day & is in class on time will get 10 points added to their 2nd MP average. That's right, 10 points.
And just to get us all in the spirit of things, I will participate with you. I have no idea what I'll do for Wednesday but I do have a really ugly Christmas dress for Friday.
So...who's in for 10 points? Leave a comment below with your 1st & last name & class period so I add you to the list to check off each day next week (except Thursday!) If you can't leave a comment, see the updated post from 12/14 for emailing your participation and the deadline to sign up.

Updates: 11/7
I was in yesterday to meet your parents, but I am fighting off pneumonia & my doctor is requiring me to stay home today. He was really mad I went in yesterday but it was very important for me to meet your parents.
I will be back tomorrow after the antibiotics kick in & he releases me. Here are the updates:
Ch 23 Exam: New make-up dates are 11/8 & 11/9, same place & time as stated in the original post.
Today I have instructed your sub to give you back the charts from Monday. They are, overwhelming, very incomplete. (I started the grade them yesterday.) This is your last day to finish them with the handout you received last week. The will count as a double classwork grade since you had two days to complete it. This means I expect the work to be done as if I was there. Fully compete, no "fluff" bulleted onto your chart. Think about it this way: if I let you use it as a cheat sheet for an exam, what do you think should be it based on the last info you needed for your last 2 exams? (And no, you cannot use it on next week's test. It's a guideline to follow when completing the chart.)
Anything due Thursday, 11/8 or later is still due with those make-up dates unchanged, same for quizzes/exams.
These are your last grades for the marking period (including Monday & today's sub work.) All assignments due as of 11/13 will count for the SECOND marking period.
See you tomorrow.
I will be back tomorrow after the antibiotics kick in & he releases me. Here are the updates:
Ch 23 Exam: New make-up dates are 11/8 & 11/9, same place & time as stated in the original post.
